Training and Capacity Building Programs

Training and Capacity Building

Since CGCS’s establishment in 2005, governments, NGOs, and academic institutions have called upon the center to provide technical assistance and capacity-building in media law and regulatory policies in countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Myanmar, Jordan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Hungary, Rwanda, Kenya, Somalia, Iraq, and more.

CGCS also works with academic partners across the globe to provide workshops, training programs, summer institutes, and seminars for the development of young leaders and scholars in the media policy field, including the Annenberg-Oxford Media Policy Summer Institute, the Summer University course in Internet Governance, Civil Society and Public Policy Advocacy at Central European University, and the Milton Wolf Seminar at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna. The Price Media Law Moot Court program serves as a capacity-building program for law school students from around the world to gain experience in international law and freedom of expression issues.
